A Way to make Mouse Capturing Passive?

Post by Sierra39 » Sun Jul 18, 2004 7:59 am

Hello,

One thing that has always bugged me about EQ in windowed mode is the way they handle capturing and uncapturing the mouse. Is there a way to set it up so that this is passive?

I want to be able to move my house in and out of the EQ window as if it were any other window. If the mouse gets moved outside of EQ's borders, it automatically gets uncaptured. Likewise when it moves back into EQ's borders. For a demonstration, you can check World of Warcraft's client in windowed mode.

So, is this possible?

Thank you.

Also, if the above isn't possible, or until it gets integrated, how would I change the capture/recapture button from scroll lock to the button on my mouse wheel?

Hello. The automatic mouse release is a planned feature, but it will likely require EQPlayNice be loaded due to how it has to work. I'm sure nobody will complain about that though :)

Currently, all WinEQ hotkeys must be keyboard combinations. I can probably add support for making mouse buttons usable, I will put that on my TODO list.
