I described my problem on the EQ technical forums in this thread:
http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/boa ... rd.id=tech
I only have it happen on my boxed account. The EQclient.ini folder seems to be the culprit, for when I erase that folder and redownload it, the problem disappears. One thing I neglected to mention in the other thread is that this problem seems to restart when I get the message from WinEQ that I am running low on RAM. But the strange part is that once I get the PCs/NPCs as shadows, they stay as shadows. They only go away when I redownload the EQclient.ini. I wanted to post here just to get your thoughts, Lax.
Having an issue with PCs/NPCs showing up as black shades

I've seen you refer to a FAQ about memory in other threads, but the link appears to be outdated. I'm afraid I can't find a FAQ that addresses memory and how to optimize your system for using WinEQ. I found the FAQ for using the forums though...
Could you link where the FAQ is now? Excuse me if I'm blind.
