Was a WinEQ user several months ago but quit using in favor of just running EQ in the SOE windows mode. I decided to try WinEQ again, downloaded and ran EQ playnice with no problem. Downloaded WinEQ 1.38 (I have ME) and when I double clicked the Lavish WinEQ 1.38.exe file, I got an error opening the file "Can't Write D:\Program Files\WinEQ\WinEQ.chm
Could I have maybe pathed something last time that causes this version of WinEQ to not load? Also, I have EQ PlayNice on a different hard drive. Could that be screwing this up?

Probably not. Aside from a problem on your hard drive itself, or an open copy of WinEQ.chm, I can't think of a reason why it would fail to extract that particular file. I would try rebooting, deleting the old WinEQ folder, and running the installer again

I moved the EQ Play Nice folder to the same hard drive as WinEQ and it installed. Wow, very impressive response time, Lax.
