working or not working?

Post by Grimwiz » Wed Jul 14, 2004 6:27 pm

I've done the things that the documentation suggest, and obviously as I'm posting here have set up a forum account and know the correct ID and password.

I'm concerned that EQPN is not actually having any effect. Please can you add my request that there is some visual feedback when it is working correctly to your "todo" list. Whether its onscreen or something in the system tray I dont care.

Check the latest announcement regarding the login box. If you don't authenticate with the Lavish License Server, EQPlayNice will fail to work. The problem is that you're either not seeing the box because EQ is starting in full screen mode, or less likely that it might not appear at all. I can guarantee that it appears :) I'll have something up shortly.

I saw the box and typed in details, but I cannot tell if its working. The game seems to be the same speed as when it is unpatched.

Same here, there is no framerate display like there used to be. Is there a way to toggle it back on?

No, the framerate display is a pro feature. I believe I found the issue though, read the "Responsive Support" thread here http://www.lavishsoft.com/forum/viewtop ... highlight=

You may simply need to edit EQPlayNice.ini and set the background framerate lower

I will add a message when EQPlayNice thinks your background framerate may be set too high, and I will add an override option to disable that message. This should solve these issues
