Dbg.txt on 1.10 :-/

Post by Sicnus » Fri Jul 16, 2004 3:48 pm

Lots of text so made a new post , if you want I can move to the already made EQ client crash post , but there is a lot of text. Running both WinEQ 0.997 and EQPN 1.10. Loading and as char select is about to load in (as the dbg shows) it fatals and crashes. I ran this test a few times to make sure it was the same error.

A few things to note, Not sure if EQPN is capable of not being recognized, but I believe iI tried to connect around 10 times within an hour and got through once. Of course my cable service flickered (once in 1,000,000 occurance) and I went LD, anyways after that I continued to get these same errors. Also in one of the dbg tests GlobalDRK_chr.s3d and load2_chr.s3d didn't Fail to open, but that was only once also.

00005:Error opening emitter definition data file.

00078:Load world end (1).

00079:Load world point 1 (GlobalDRK_chr)

00080:Load world point 2 (e:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\GlobalDRK_chr.s3d)

I hope this helps :) , i'm no debugger or anything, but i'm pretty sure those are memory address or something like that? not sure, anyway hope it helps.

Indeed, those are addresses in memory and hopefully I can use them to sovle the problem you are experiencing.

If this happens every time, try with just WinEQ or just EQPlayNice and see if you can narrow it down further. Thanks :)

WinEQ alone works fine, but EQPN by itself still gets the same errors.

Thank you, I will try to fix this problem. Also, is this on the EQ Live servers (US English), on Euro servers, or on an emulated server? I may need to update the auth server's data for whichever patch the server you play on is using.
