still having same authentication problems. have version 1.07. Still problems with the server?

The server is fine, the problem currently is that they patched today and I'm about to get the server set up with the information for it.

I can log in to the forum successfully, but I can't login with pre-authenticate.
Authentication failed -10057 is the message.

I'm using version 1.09. Thoughts?

I installed and tried to register my account it gave me the -14 error then ever time i try to load EQ it crashes the game. I had to uninstall it and probably will not ever load it again, until i read some good reports on it. Like most good ideas this one seems to have gone that money is more inportant the performance. Promises to fix something are just that promises. I already get enough of those from Sony. I will suffer through one companies broken promises rather then several.

Let me explain something real quick. Nobody posts unless they have problems. This is also the case on the old forums, go take a look at http://teqim.sourceforge.net. If you based your opinion on the forums, you wouldn't see more than one or two people that have anything good to say

The -14 error is older, and is fixed for most people. It may be solved for you simply by trying the newest version. There are reported issues with 10-20 people.

uhh hi

well i had been using eqplaynice for about 2 weeks before this change. i dont mind it at all. i am still very grateful that there is a free version. i was just kinda having problems running it. i downloaded 1.09 and made a board account but i get the 10057 error. basically the same thing as this guy:

This is a windows sockets error, and I am working on solving the problem.

More specifally, your computer prematurely disconnected from our license server.

again thanks for the product. i would contribute money if i wasn't a kid with no job mooching off my parents

edit: haha as soon as i typed this i tryed it again (like 9th time), and it just worked. i didnt change anything or do anything different. soooo uhh i guess either the server needs time between the time you make a board membership and pre-authenticate or maybe it was busy or maybe somehow it just bugged past whatever issue it was having.

I've been using EQPN since January and I do not think playing eq without EQPN enjoyable. When it is up and working (within hours of every single patch) it fixes a horrible bug that bad Verant programing created, and gay SoE programing brought to the surface. When I alt tab out without EQPN my system shuts down almost completely for 30- 40 seconds. When I alt tab WITH EQPN I have control of my processor, and that's amazing.

As for the money thing, EQPN has been in an open beta up until a few weeks ago. Beta's are free, but when things leave beta most companies force you to buy the software. Lax is giving the EQ community a free fix to a basic EQ programing flaw. If you want more you'll have to poney up the money for the special features.

Hello. This 10057 problem, did you re-download EQPlayNice 1.09 today? I updated Lavish.dll in the downloads, but did not give it a new version number as the change did not directly affect EQPN or WinEQ, and this problem is rare. If you re-downloaded 1.09 today and still receive this problem, I will begin working on correcting this issue now.

I get the 10057 problem with EQPN 1.09 (just downloaded now) AND with WinEQ 0.996 (also redownloaded, looks like you updated the build)
