crahes eq client

I have a problem, after installing 1.07. It crashes eq once it hits the character screen. Runs fine and loads eq without a prob if Eq play nice is not running.

I can not get it to work with this version at all. Eq play nice is logged in etc..

Soon as character select screen loads, eqclient crashes.

Oh well, so long eqpn, no way in hell I'm paying 36 bucks for this. Hell, magelo is what, 10 bucks a year and I'd say they have a MUCH bigger player base... lame.

If it crashes at char select and you're running 1.06 grab 1.07. I'll double check with both versions and see, but the absolute newest download tested fine and I did upload a new 1.07 to fix the EQPlayNice.txt file

works for me now, Once i minimize the eqwin client cpu usage drops to 45 to 50% instead of 99%.

Ah you have to love SoE right? I was running v1.06 downloded yesterday that obviously was not working.

So I log in here, do some hunting around find v1.07 and download that ready to try and the servers go down to fix the patch that was clearly untested yesterday

Not sure if its just me. I was crashing repeatedly at character select screen using version 1.06. I then installed version 1.07 and all seemed fine the first time I ran EQ. Then, later on when trying to restart EQ via WinEQ (while running Eqplaynice version 1.07) I am constantly crashing during the login phase of the game. I am not even getting close to the character select screen anymore

Anyone else crashing right in the beginning of the login screen now as well?

I'm not home to check out 1.07, but I was experiencing the same crashing with 1.06 last night. It worked correctly for a period of time, but after a death, I was unable to log back in, it would crash either before reaching the character screen or immediately after the character screen heading to the world. In all cases it would prompt me to submit my information to SOE.

Its probably related to the new patch change. I think eqmain.dll changed again. thought i recalled seeing that file update again today. oh well.
