G11 keyboard G keys mapped incorrectly.

Post by Gair » Tue Mar 05, 2013 8:18 pm

Anyone else have this happening? G keys (G1..G18) are not being picked up by innerspace correctly. What was G1, is now G7. Same deal with G2..G4, but G5 and G6 are the same. Weird stuff. Happened after this latest patch.

1. Close Inner Space
2. Delete the file InputDevices.XML from your Inner Space folder
3. Launch Inner Space

This will re-generate the input device information with the current data set for the G11

The G11 buttons are now also prefixed with G11-, as in G11-G1, G11-G2, etc.

Lost use of G11 G keys?

I did as you say Lax and deleted InputDevices.XML from the folder and it still does not work :( I get no response in the game and I do not know if any messages are being generated with the G keys through innerspace?

We got stile777 fixed up in the ISBoxer Chat Room.

If you have trouble with your G11 keys and ISBoxer:
1. Close out Inner Space and ISBoxer and the games you have launched through it
2. Delete InputDevices.XML from your Inner Space folder
3. Launch Inner Space!
4. Close Inner Space. This will make sure that it saves InputDevices.XML with the new data
5. Launch ISBoxer Toolkit. This will make sure ISBoxer loads the new InputDevices.XML
6. Update any Hotkeys you have configured in ISBoxer, because the keys are now "G11-G1" and so on instead of simply "G1".
7. Export to Inner Space and play!

Lax, thanks for the detailed instructions. Very quick fix, and working as intended. :)
