Problem running IS

Post by elnuch » Sun Apr 29, 2012 11:40 am

I just downloaded Inner Space and after I put in my log in information, a window pops up and says, "Could not output file InnerSpace.exe. It may be in use. Make sure all Lavish Software products are shut down and wait minutes (or reboot) before trying again. Hitting OK will cause the patcher to skip this file, but the software will try to patch again until it is patched successfully."

Any idea on how I can fix this? I don't have any LS products running and I re-started my system and I still get the same problem.[/b]

It could also be that it doesn't have permission to write because it's installed to Program Files and you are not allowing it to require Administrator permissions. Inner Space requires Administrator as per an embedded manifest, so this should only happen when User Account Control is set to "Never Notify" even though you have a Limited User Account.

You might be able to fix it like this: Right click the Inner Space icon and select "Run as Administrator".
