Clicking on X (Close)

Post by JBird » Thu Feb 16, 2012 11:28 am

I am using Everquest and when I hit the X at the top of the window, it camps out the character.

Anyway I can change that to just Close the window out like Wineq does.

Any idea on this?

It bugs me that I have to wait 30 seconds x each box when I click the X on the window bar.

WinEQ just instant closes out of the window when I click the X.

Everquest 1 is the game :)

Do you really want to do it via the X? There's many ways to get this behavior that aren't the window's usual close button.

One is to use the command "exit" in the in-game Inner Space console.

Another way if you use ISBoxer, you can set up a Mapped Key with a Window Close Action which has a check box on it to terminate instantly. (which does the same thing as "exit")

If you're not using ISBoxer, then you could set up a key binding with the "exit" command instead of doing it through ISBoxer.

I do use ISboxer. Where do I find that Mapped Key at?

It would be awesome to hit a key on the board and kill all my sessions at once.

The Close Window Instantly for all session via one hotkey on the keyboard like the Pause/Break key would kick butt.

It's a type of Action.

You can use the Mapped Key Wizard (from the Wizards menu) to set up a Straight Key Broadcast for the Hotkey you want to use. Then, go into Step 1 of your new Mapped Key, and remove the Keystroke Action (that sends the keystroke to some windows) and replace it with a Window Close Action. To add an Action just right click on "Actions", and this one is under "Window Actions"
