EQ1 map corruption

Post by Jedis » Sat Dec 04, 2010 9:58 pm

Can the map directories be virtualized in their entirety, too?

With multiple clients running from the same directory, they're both writing to the maps and causing corruption. Stop-gap measure is to make the directory read only, but then I can't make any changes without removing the read-only attribute, saving, and then reapplying it.

Figured this out myself...

I created a virtual file mapping for maps\ and it seems to have worked just fine - logged in without making the virtual directory and had no maps. Copied the current maps directory to the virtual name, zoned, and had maps working again!
