Is there a way to get IS to launch 2 sessions of DDO? Seems they have something that says you already have the client running when trying to get 2 instances up at once.

That is most probably a restriction of the game client.

Did you try making a copy of it into another directory?
check the userprefernces.ini file and see if i has this line ComputeUniquePort=true and change it to false/ that is what you have to do with LORT and they are the same company.
just a thought
