eqgame.exe has encountered problem

This is my first post, so be gentle. I tried searching around, but didn't find the answer.

Anyway, when I try to start EverQuest through Inner Space, this happens and I never even get into the game:

eqgame.exe has encountered problem and needs to close

But when I run the game normally it runs fine. Thoughts? Suggestions? I've been messing with this for a while now and am getting burned out.

Nevermind... after hours of tinkering, all that it required was a reboot of my system.

It's not a setting you're missing or anything like that.

There is probably other software running on your PC that interferes for some reason. Try shutting down all other running programs and see if that helps. If you have other software that interacts with the game, that'd be a good place to start. Other software that typically might interfere would be anti-virus, anti-spyware, security software (Norton EndPoint comes to mind), or even viruses or spyware -- if you haven't performed a scan recently, now would be a good time.
