I saw some poor framerates when running two sessions under IS on one machine, something that WinEQ2 had no issues with. Checking the forums I read the advice about running WinEQ2 and IS together and decided to give it a shot. I turned off IS's frame limiter, started WinEQ and then launched an IS session. The first session ran fine, but the second session caused a crash similar to the one I saw with incorrect window sizes. I turned on the "Force Windowed Mode" switch, but it still crashes.
The bug report guidelines don't mention what info is needed for IS. In the meantime I'll look into using a modified inf on the newer Nvidia drivers.
WinEQ and IS don't play nice

I apologize for what might be considered excessive posts here. I am learning a lot, and imagine others must experience similar things. Hopefully others will benefit from my experiences.
First, I have learned that *one* of my machines has different behaviors with Innerspace than another. This isn't to say that there is something wrong with Innerspace (indeed this laptop is probably an exceptional case). But I think it is important to note that something which doesn't work may be machine related. For example, Innerspace with EQPlayNice works fine on a desktop.
There are a lot of variables when using this software, so it is difficult to isolate the significant ones. Well, maybe it is better to say that it is time consuming.
To follow up on an earlier post, I installed 169.09 on my notebook. Thanks to the folks at laptopvideo2go.com this was a simple process. I thought I would need to edit the inf files myself, but these folks have already done it for us. I was not happy with 169.09, and have backed off to 167.26 for a bit. (I got a blue-screen once, and in the morning the display would be dark until I restarted windows). Hopefully one of these versions will do the trick on this machine.
One feature request, if such a beast doesn't already exist: I would love to be able to relay commands to sessions by name without specifying the machine. I tend to run a particular session/account on different machines depending on what I am up to.
Barring that, I suppose if I could determine if a session exists I could probe the network on startup and save the fully qualified names.
To update my earlier memory comments: I noticed an oddity with EQ1's memory usage. As I reported, I see sessions taking 800+M with everything turned off. Yesterday I had something else running which was using up a chunk of RAM, when I fired up 3 EQ1 sessions on that machine. Once the available system memory dropped to around 2M each eqgame.exe began to release memory. Their memory usage dropped to around 200M. Based on this, I am assuming that I have things setup to cache something and EQ empties its cache when memory becomes critical.

I also had some strange memory issues with EQ1. It would typically use 500-600MB per session, but when you minimise them each session dropped to about 50MB before slowly climbing back up to around 200MB over several minutes. I don't know why.
