I still can't get it to work. I tried to reinstall Inner Space and now when I click the icon I get a very quick flash of a little window that says innerspace.dat My inner space folder is empty aside from innerspace.exe, the uninstall file, innerspace.dat (which is 0kb in size right now), and lavish.dll, and 4 blank folders.

Inner Space itself is up and working fine. However, the server is undergoing maintenance and the main license server, which handles the IS patches, is currently disabled. If you guys hadn't tried to reinstall IS, you'd be running fine via our backup auth server
The main license server will be running soon, and then all of your issues will disappear. You do not need to take any action, and if you have a full installation of Inner Space, you should be running just fine.

Downtime is few and far between, the "downtime" during our maintenance period yesterday did not affect most customers. Any announcements regarding downtime are shown on the main website page.
Inner Space automatically patches itself when it is launched, if there is a patch. The automatic patching can be disabled in the Patcher window. If automatic patching is disabled and there is a patch, the Patcher window will keep itself visible when Inner Space is launched. If not, you may simply notice Inner Space restarting itself. Changes are recorded in the patch notes, which can be viewed via the Patcher window.
Inner Space is in a relatively stable state, and there have been few patches over the last 6 months. Generally as long as you restart Inner Space once a week, you're probably up to date.
