Couldn't find a similar problem, apologies if it has already been posted.
Using IS on a german windows with a MS Natural Keyboard and the default windows driver. Problem happens with only with WoW (does not happen with EQ2) + Innerspace. When typing any of the "special" german characters like "ö", "ä", "ü" or "ß" they show up prefixed with the character "ÿ" (thus "ö" becomes "ÿö" in the WoW input boxes). Special keys like "Alt Gr" (right alt on german keyboards) or ' do not work at all, making it impossible to type certain characters like "@" or the square brackets.
I have tried starting WoW standalone, without IS, and the characters work okay then. IS+EQ2 works okay as well. It only happens with IS+WoW. Strangely enough, the special keys do work okay in WinEQ2 as well, I just checked.
I tried toying around iwth the "Input Systems" checkbox in IS config, using everything from Virtual Input to DirectInput, but it didn't make any difference.
If it's of any help, "ÿ" is the Unicode character 00FF.
Any hints welcome.

Well, the Input Systems boxes in IS do absolutely nothing now, as Virtual Input is permanently enabled. I just havent gotten aroudn to removing the others from the configuration window yet
WinEQ 2 doesn't actually toy with the input received by the game, because there is no mechanism for key emulation in it, and the hotkey system used by WinEQ 2 is fairly rudimentary anyway, so yeah, it wouldn't mess with the actual input functionality.
The unfortunate thing here is that my keyboard does not have an Alt Gr key, nor would I have a clue how to create the "special" characters if I happened upon a non-US keyboard.
I will look into it when I get an opportunity; it will be at LEAST a week. Sorry for the trouble in the meantime
