I'm going to answer anyway, because I'm sure you're not the only one wondering this right now, and certainly not the only one that ever will. You yourself may already know most of this, but I'm directing this to everyone:
Inner Space has two branches of releases, called Stable and Unstable. Unstable doesnt mean "this release crashes", just that it is going to be updated more often, and not necessarily fully supported, as it is currently under development (a more accurate term for this branch is the Development branch).
Presently, Inner Space 1.04 build 3520 is the latest stable release, and the release that most people should be using (1.04 uses ISXDK 27 and LSModule 14). Inner Space 1.05 is currently in development, and usage should be limited to people who would be testing the new or updated features (e.g. seeing if a particular bug was properly fixed, testing their extension against ISXDK 28, making sure their scripts still work, and so on).
The reason the development release exists is specifically so that features and fixes can be tested by more than just myself, before they are released to the general public. It also helps make sure that extension developers are aware that a new ISXDK is available, so they can have their extension built for it before the ISXDK is moved to stable (meaning users don't have to wait forever for the extension to be updated to work with the latest release). Additionally, script developers can test changes in LavishScript, so they know what changes need to be made to the released scripts. The LavishScript update in Inner Space 1.05, for example, changes how variables of the collection object type are declared.
So yes, for a typical user, 1.04 build 3520 is the latest and greatest. For anyone involved in any area of development (user interfaces, scripts, extensions, etc), 1.05 should be tested extensively, and any problems should be reported.
