Inner Space Update Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Nighthawk » Tue Oct 18, 2005 10:27 am

When I launch inner space I get this error:

Inner Space could not initialize it's Direct3D9 Engine. The uplink window will be unavailible.

I have Direct X 9c installed so not sure why this is happening could someone shade some light on this problem?

Thanks

What video card do you have? Are your video card drivers up to date?

Interesting. Unfortunately I dont have any of those to test with, but I have a feeling I know what the problem is, and I just now implemented a fix if I'm guessing correctly.

Patch Inner Space up and it should work fine after that. To do so, you can either A) use the installer from the web site, or B) try running Inner Space, click OK when you get the "could not initialize Direct3D9 engine" and wait, and it should patch itself and restart automatically, and then should work fine.

Let me know

Lax, I launched inner space this morning and let it go thru it update. But I still recieve the same message. I also unnistalled Inner Space and downloaded the installer off your site and tried that it also went thru the update and gave the same error.

If it is still updating without the 3D engine loading I can live with that. I will continue to help trouble shoot this if you want to try to figure it out.

Thanks for all your help.
