Crash on exit

Post by anonguy » Wed Jun 08, 2005 12:46 am

Closing IS (right clicking it on the taskbar and selecting exit is generating a crash 100% of the time. This happens after running Wow, playing it a little, then exiting it. Doesnt happen if i just run IS then exit it. It just started, I'm assuming its related to the WoW patch today.

Error signature
Appname innerspace.exe appver 0.0.0.0 modname ntdll.dll
modver 5.1.2600.2180 offset 0018fea

exception information
code 0x0000005 flag 0x00000000
record 0x00000000 address 0x000000007c918fea

There is a lot of other stuff in the error report, but it wont let me cut/paste.

Yeah, I'm aware of the crash on exit, has been there for quite a while. Fortunately, since it's only on exit and not before anything else is supposed to happen besides terminating the process, it's not really important to fix other than being an annoyance. Other things have just taken priority is all :)

I will revisit the crash and see if I can fix it.

If it helps I've never had this crash with EQ2.

It has happened twice now. After I camp to desktop from EQ2 it pops up a memory error with EQ2. It isn't when I'm shutting down Innerspace.

It happened once while isxeq2.dll was still running and once when it wasn't. There was a HUD on screen both times (Default.. the one from the harvest macro) if that makes a difference.

The issue reported and fixed was an InnerSpace.exe crash on exit, but I can check on an EQ2 crash on exit also. No, HUD isnt related (what you're experiencing doesnt happen in other games, and the HUD works exactly the same regardless of what game you're playing)
