innerspace

Post by eolewis » Tue Dec 14, 2004 11:08 am

I think I mucked up somewhere... downloaded and installed Innerspace, but it doesn't detect EQ.... only thing I can think of is maybe the directory I kept was the one that I copied over instead of the original one I installed to (had to reformat mainl drive and possibly copied it to the new HD I had installed)... could this be the case? And if so, any ideas on when you might get this fixed (how far down on the list it is of things to do)? I'm a patient guy, but wanted to test it out since I can't seem to figure out how to work MQ2 (just downloaded it and compiled using files downloaded from Microsoft site). Of course, I may have the concept of what Innerspace is about, but I was just looking for an easy way to do repetitive movements... hehehe

Right click on the tray icon, select Console
type:
profile "EverQuest Default Profile" -set "c:\program files\everquest"
(or whatever the path is to your everquest, without a \ at the very end)
and then:
profiles -save

Inner Space has the ability to let you add support for games without me, so this is just a small portion of that :)

Upon doing what you said the first time, it went FUBAR.... now, even my Rise of Nation's profile has gone bye-bye

Well, I figured just everquest, cuz thats the non-dummy thing to do...
and when I do profiles -save, Inner Space crashes on me. Maybe I should just leave this testing to those that know what they are doing... hehehe

Ah, I typo'd.

The correct way to do the profile -set is this:
profile "EverQuest Default Profile" -set path "c:\program files\everquest"

Without the "path" part, it will crash you. I'll fix the crash from that

After fixing the typo, I do not crash, but it does not add Everquest to the menu of games to work with

As long as the path is correct and contains eqgame.exe, it should work fine...

Unfortunatly, the path is correct and eqgame.exe is there... not sure why I'm having such problems
