Question about patching

Post by BobTest » Wed Oct 19, 2005 10:21 pm

Before IS started using the uplink to initiate patches, it would always download the latest innerspace.txt file. I could then read it and choose to patch or not based on what fixes/changes were made to IS.

However, now I do not get the innerspace.txt file updated unless I choose "Patch Now" from the uplink. I thought I could just double click on innerspace.txt, or leave it highlighted and just patch the one file.

Maybe there's a way to do this, and I just missed it, but if there's not, could we add one back in?

Thanks!

Actually, the uplink was always in charge of doing the patching. The difference is that now it has a cool UI. Anyway, this feature is one of the things not currently done because I want to use LavishGUI to view the patch notes instead of notepad. It will be re-implemented very soon, I just havent had the time to work on the multiline text edit control that will be used.

Ah, so that was your reason why textedit was on your Todo list. I look forward to it whenever you reach it's number on your list. =D
