Patching Optional?

Post by Jackalo » Sun Aug 21, 2005 2:49 am

Beta 0.99 Build 2271
- LavishScript 1.38 - http://www.lavishsoft.com/wiki/index.ph ... ease_Notes
- Inner Space will no longer automatically update itself without your permission. Instead, a message
box will pop up and allow you to always patch (yes), patch this time (no), or skip patching this time
(cancel), but explained in a different way. This will allow you to temporarily continue using an
old version of Inner Space until extensions you need are updated.

- ISXDK v15
I know that it's been a while since this was implemented, but I have not once seen it give me an option not to patch. Only reason why I bring it up now is the girlfriend hounds me when stuff doesn't work after patching (because I haven't downloaded the latest ISXWoW/recompiled it).

I know that I've never clicked 'Always Patch', as I remember when the above mentioned patch was released and didn't see an option then or the next time or anytime afterwards. Is everyone having this problem, or is it possible that InnerSpace accidently decided to Always Patch without my consent? If the latter, how do I go about un-doing that option without reinstalling IS?

Heh well, you definitely would have had to click it ;)
If you click yes when the box pops up, it sets the setting and never asks again.

Open InnerSpace.XML and find the "Always Patch" setting, set it to 0.

That was a rather quick response!

I have made the above change to InnerSpace.XML.

Thanks. =D
