I though this was related to .Net 2.0 but I unistalled all my .Net installs and reinstalled .Net 2.0. At that point it started just locking up my box completely when trying to start up Eve.
I then let windows update run and it upgraded me to .Net to 2.0 sp2 and installed .Net 3.0 sp 2 and 3.5. Now im getting the error below in the event viewer.

So my HDD ate itself yesterday. i'm up and running on a new drive and a fresh XP install. apart from firefox and partition master the only apps installed are Eve and Innerspace. patch level is SP2 and innerspace updated my DirectX. I also loaded .net 2.0
Problem is still the same. Getting a 2 messages in Event viewer. I'll post the first one here, the second is from drwatson and is a bit long, but I can provide it if you need it.
Any feedback would be nice since the only thing I have seen posted is to try reinstalling XP and I have now done that. I am resisting installing anything else on this PC until we can get innerspace running.
One thing that comes to mind is that I have eve and innerspace installed on the second partition of my HDD. I can't see why that would have any effect on it running. Eve works just fine on its own.

Good news and bad news.
Bad news is I never got a reply so I was not able to get this running under XP pro.
Good news is I can confirm that Win7 does work. It seems like a rather extreme measure to upgrade your Operating system to make it work. But after waiting 3 weeks I'm just happy its working now.
I have a buddy who is running it on XP with Eve and has for some time. In my gut I think that it has to do with the fact that he installed it a while ago and maybe has an older version of something that has since been broken, but I have nothing to base this on so that is just an opinion at this point.
