Innerspace crash while loading Everquest2
This summer there was an Innerspace patch that caused everquest2 to crash immediately when loading through innerspace. I worked around this by reverting to an older version of Innerspace but I was forced to patch Innerspace for the ISXDK 32 update and now the crash has returned. This only happens on this particular laptop running winXP Pro, I have no issues on my Vista and Win 7 machines. As far as I know everything is up to date as far as Dotnet, directx and drivers. I have tried using several versions of Everquest2.exe and disabled anything autoloading through innerspace. The result is always the same, works fine loading normally but crashes immediately when loading through innerspace. Also I have reverted to default UI and settings in case that had something to do with it, no change in results
Where can I find an error file or log file to post ? The windows error report doesn't allow me to copy/paste out of the error window, simply isn't highlightable. I have an error report from DrWatson but it is over 100,000 lines of text, not really appropriate to post here i suppose.
Also I completely uninstalled both Innerspace and ISXEQ2 and reinstalled and updated, tried both normal patch and development.
Any ideas for me ?

If it's a windows crash box, the reportable info comes straight from there. If there's a "details" or "more info" button that's generally useful. Some people just screenshot it and send me the screenshot.
It's also possible there's an application error listed in the Windows Event Log. You can find that in the Administrative Tools control panel, under "Event Viewer". The application error logs can then be viewed under Windows Logs, Application. And then there's a Details tab with technical details.

Hi, sorry to bring up and old post but i'm really stuck and this is the only relevant post i've found so far.
I'm having exactly the same problem, Everquest crashes on startup with and without loading ISXEQ2 extension. I've followed every instruction to the letter but I haven't managed to get this working.
I'm running WinXP sp3, I wasn't aware this wasn't supported. Is there a fix or workaround that doesn't involve changing my OS?
Very grateful for any advice as so far I'm paying a for nothing
Thanks

Do you have any information to share with me about your crash besides that it crashes for you and you're running Windows XP SP3?

Faulting application everquest2.exe, version 1.0.0.1, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x0000161d.
There is a lot more info in the error report but it is not selectable and I can't copy it. It's also not in the even log.
Going back to build 5039 as suggested on another post does allow the game to run, however the version mismatch with ISXDK stops ISXEQ2 from running at all. I've been asking the ISXEQ2 people if I can downgrade that too, but haven't yet heard.
Thanks for taking a look.
