Switch to the development build of Inner Space. To do so, right click IS, select Patcher, then check "Download development (test) patches", close and restart IS

Last time I tried the development build for SWG, there was an directx error. Has that been resolved?

Yes that has been specifically addressed. See http://www.lavishsoft.com/forum/viewtop ... 9080#19080

Doesnt seem to be fixed for Windows 7 64bit

"You have DirectX 10.0 installed but DirectX 9.0c is currently required to play Star Wars Galaxies."

Then it lists a link to the swg website..

Windows 7 64bit

I get this when ever I try to launch SWG with innerspace/isboxer

I've tried both dev and non-dev builds.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: SwgClient_r.exe
Application Version: 0.0.195.565
Application Timestamp: 4be84014

The game launches fine with the default SWG shortcut which is the station launcher. It spawns a subprocess of swgclient_r and it works.

I dont mind manually launching as a work around if there is some way to associate the station launchers sessions with innerspace.

launching SWGclient_R.exe by itself without the station launcher or IS doesnt work either...

I would love to get this working with SWG if it's possible.

Perhaps my error is unrelated. If it is, please let me know so I can make a new post as to not derail this one.

Well, Inner Space and ISBoxer definitely work with SWG. There's a guy that hangs out in the ISBoxer Chat Room fairly often that plays it. Your error is unrelated to this thread but that's ok. I can try to find out what's happening from the provided information

About the DirectX 9.0c required issue from earlier posts on the thread (which only happens with the dev build), another person has confirmed it's apparently fixed for Vista but not Windows 7 so I've got some additional testing/fixing to do there.

Thanks. I found a debug file in the SWG folder.

It says....

automated crash dump from SwgClient_r.exe stage.195565

SwgClient_r.exe: stage.195565
unknown location : FATAL 4d962776: datatables/manifest/skufree.iff could not be found. Are your paths set up correctly?

Ram: 1023mb
Os1: 5.1.2600
Os2: Windows XP Service Pack 2
NumProc: 8
GameFeatureBits: 0
SubscriptionFeatureBits: 0

Found a few references to the error and have done countless reinstalls to fix it.. So far... no luck....

Inner space default profile for SWG had the executable being swgclient_r.exe

I changed this to be the following, and all is well.

main exe filename: lauchpad.exe

main exe parameters: --game SWG

main exe path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Station\Station Launcher\

Hope that helps if anyone else has the same issue.

I'm still trying to understand why I get this crash on the third character on the first pc.. First two on pc1 loads fine, the two on pc2 loads fine...get to the third toon on pc1 and it crashes. Still dont understand it. Once I get the DINPUT8.dll crash, I have to restart. If I get it to many times, the surefire way to get it working is uninstall/reinstall innerspace.
