I install Inner Space and then ISBoxer, as per instructions, and every time I get an error message box. Lots of text starting with:
Inner Space Game Configuration was unable to be loaded from the selected Inner Space folder.
Running Vista.
I have installed after shutting off User Controls and I both install and run InnerSpace and ISboxer as administrator. I've deleted entirely and re-installed from scratch multiple times. Yes, I do install Inner Space first, run it and then exit before firing up IsBoxer. I've typed in the path to Inner Space within the ISBoxer configuration window.
I have installed the current .NET 3.5 downloaded from Microsoft.
I think I've exhausted everything I can think of.
Any suggestions?

Make sure there is at least one Game configured in Inner Space, so that while IS is running, bringing up the menu shows at least one Game above the "Add Game" option -- which you may need to use.
Inner Space automatically detects many games based on default installation paths, registry keys, and so on. If you have your game (which?) installed in a non-standard path, and/or did not run its installer on this PC (e.g. copying from another computer), Inner Space will not automatically detect it

Game is EQ.
My path is C:\Program Files\Everquest.
I did copy this dir from another PC rather than install EQ all over from scratch.
InnerSpace "sees" EQ fine as I am able to log into EQ from InnerSpace. I did add a new "custom" configuration for EQ., after your advice, and I still have the same problem.
When I go to add a character in ISBoxer I get "Inner Space path needed" in the "Game" line under Add Character. Does this want the path to the InnerSpace dir? I allowed the installer to determine that so nothing non-standard there. I've typed my Inner Space path in that box and nothing improves.
I assume I can enter the path as C:\Program Files (x86)\Inner Space, with the blank and no quotes? I know from older games sometimes you have to place quotes around paths than exceed the old 8.2 naming conventions. Is this an issue?
I'm perplexed!

You typed your Inner Space path in the Game box? That wouldn't do anything, I'll have to make this more clear.
Left click ISBoxer at the top, then Inner Space at the bottom left, and then in the bottom right you will see an Inner Space path box with a button next to it to browse for the Inner Space path.
