ever get the feeling everyone knows more than you?

Well I recently started using IS and got the basics working with a bit of help from Lax and a few others. Ive been trying to get some advanced things going and jsut keep hitting a brick wall. The wiki's adn so forth seem to e very cryptic to me as I haev never had formal training i basically can only work off of other code examples etc.

I use everquest with IS on one computer with 2 accounts( soon to be 3). One thing i cannot figure out how to do is to invite mutiple toons to my group. It also seems like targeting is very easy in games liek wow but i cannot figure out how to get it done via IS without making in game hotkeys for everything i am trying to do. I've read various past articles and I am jsut getting the impression that I am workign alot harder than I haev to get thigns done.

If there is anyone out there who has a little time and patience to help me out I would appreciate it very much. I;m nto an idiot, im jsut nto great at coding so it's really difficult to get much done that i want to. Im not knocking Lax becuase i know how hard it is to do documentation but the manuals/wikis just arent helping me much.

if anyone has a free hour or 2 to help me a bit now and again that would kick butt.

thanks.

I think the issue you are having is that you're trying to do things that the game doesn't allow you to do, and Inner Space isn't making that easy. "Everyone" who is multiboxing doesn't do that, they play the game the way it's intended, just with broadcasting. The documentation of Inner Space probably doesn't apply to what you're trying to do, and it's a technical reference, not a set of HOWTOs with step by step instructions to hack EverQuest. That's why the Inner Space documentation in the wiki doesn't make sense to you. That's like going to the Microsoft Developer Network site and looking at technical references, it's not going to help you use Windows, just program for it.

You would have to either a) use the game's system to create macros on hotkeys (this is the "easy" and legitimate route), or b) dive into MacroQuest 2 (which is compatible with IS, but there's also ISXEQ, which is MQ2 compiled for Inner Space, but doesn't have anyone actively supporting it) -- this is the difficult and illegitimate route. If you want to go this route, you should join the #macroquest channel on the irc.lavishsoft.com chat server (from the ISBoxer chat room, you should be able to type /join #macroquest). I would recommend going the legit route and biting the bullet on doing some extra work in the game to make it happen, but MQ2 would definitely help you.
