Inner Space Error when launching eq2 profiles

Post by eq2acct » Thu Apr 09, 2009 3:25 am

I'm getting and error message box

Inner Space

Failed to execute '**My file location is here**'. Windows System Error Code 740 (it will help to report Windows System Error Code 740 if reporting this issue!).

This error happens when I try to launch Everquest II No Patch, a Everquest 2 profile I created that links to the station launcher, a Everquest 2 profile that I created that links straight to the Everquest2.exe.

I have been able to launch the program with a profile I created that links to EQ2Map Updater program in my EQ2 AddOns folder but I'm not sure if Innerspace is running or not.

I'm currently using Vista Premium 64bit as my OS.

Any help to get this working would be great. I did several searches for the error code but it didn't bring anything up for me. I also googled it hoping it may be somewhere out there but no luck. It is 4:30am here and I'm exhausted so I may have overlooked something. Anyways, thank you in advance for any info.

update

**running the Everquest II Default Profile works and I have the FPS, etc.. at the top left of the screen. I didn't have this when it launched from the EQ2Maps Updater.

Others still give me the error message.

Are you running Inner Space as Administrator? The information on the error (740) implies that UAC is preventing the process from being launched, and until I fix various UAC-related issues for Inner Space, it will help to launch Inner Space via right clicking Inner Space and selecting Run as Administrator.

Yes, that ended up working for me thank you. I had gone into the folders and gave the files admin privilages *shrug* I didn't know we needed to launch by right clicking on it. UAC is such a pain, I'm ready to just disable it.

Now i just have to work on getting Keyclone to work for me while I'm using Innerspace.
