IS, ISBoxer, and Everquest 1

Post by eolewis » Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:21 pm

I have started to use the ISBoxer to play both my accounts on EQ and what very limited stuff I have st up, I like it so far. My question is (and this might be the wrong forum) is there a way I can press my G1 key and it sends the keystroke to the background window without any other keys being "repeated" on both screens and without having to toggle the repeating function off and on.?

An example...

Toon 1 is a ranger and toon 2 is a shaman. I typically group with others, so when I type "/group hi all" I do not want it said in both windows, however, I'd like to hit the G1 key and my shaman will commence to buff the group, but I dont want it to affect the ranger's window.

I know I can toggle "repeater" on, hit the G1 key, then toggle it off, but I'd prefer not to.

Hope thats clear on what Im looking for help on. Thought maybe General might have been the more appropriate forum, but didnt want others to be bothereds since ISBoxer is only for IS :D

Yes. You can set up a Mapped Key, bound to G1, to do whatever you like. Repeater is the poor man's solution, which makes all windows hit the same key at the same time. Repeater is more FOR those times where you actually want to type "/group hi all" and have it said in all windows ;)

Several examples of Mapped Keys are shown in the walkthrough video, part 2.
