How to open console?

Sorry about being a pest, I am still a noob to this but how do you open the console when you are in wow and I am using a laptop so is it diffrent?

When you've launched the game through Inner Space, all you do to open the console is hit the ` key. The key is typically referred to as the ~ key as well (though you have to hit shift to make a ~ from the ` key), probably because it's more recognizable versus the ' key, I suppose. On a normal US keyboard it's the one below ESC (above tab, left of 1).

ok tried the ~ key with ctrl+alt and alone and the console didn't pop up is there a different way?
