I am a new user to IS that is trying to get up and running w/ EQ2.
I have used the "Add Game" mechanism to add the path and exe of EQ2. I then attempt to launch the default profile of the EQ name that I have just created. First, I get the screen to enter my lavish SW acct info. After entering this, it launches the sony everquest digital download manager by digital river and tries to get me to download EVERQUEST (EQ1). The process name loaded is also everquest.exe.
I do have regular everquest on the machine, and this seems to launch correctly when I launch the EQ default profile. However, when I try and launch EQ2 (which I have added explicitly), I get the mess above.
Just for kicks, I tried adding other apps, and it seems to launch those correctly when I add them via add game.
Anyone have any guesses why EQ2 is not launching correctly?
Thanks

EQ2 is an auto-detected game, if you installed it from the discs it should already be in the list. But, if something is trying to make you download EQ1, then I would have to say you used Add Game with the wrong executable.
Typically EQ2 is installed to C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II, and within that folder will be EQ2.exe and EverQuest2.exe. Pointing to EverQuest2.exe launches the game itself, bypassing the EQ2 launcher, which is EQ2.exe. That's really all there is to it, I'm not sure what you would have pointed IS at to launch a digital download manager.
