Crashing at Log in with Latest Update in EQ2

Apparently some of us have no problems logging in after the update today, but some of us crash at the log in screen.

I attached windbg to everquest2.exe before i logged in.

this is what I got:

heres another print out.


It seems that it's calling the Dx9 dll hooking a few times, when it's already hoooked or something. I don't know exactly, just trying to figure out.

But it seems to be an access violation twice that is causing the crash.

Be glad to help how ever I can.

dang.

I used my isxeq2 profile to load up eq2, which is crashing.

I used the "default profile" from IS Everquest II that was included, and I was able to load up eq2 okay.


So, I guess that means my problems was from it trying to load isxeq2, I guess, even though it should of just checked to see it wasn't the proper version and move on, but crashed.


anyways, still glad to help any way I can.

nyder there was a forced patch to the game, whenever this occurs if you try to run ISXEQ2 before it has been patched you will crash the client out. Usually any day there is a forced patch there will be a message over at the isxeq2 forums.

ya, i know about the force patch.


normally, it looks to update, and if if it's not he latest, it doesn't load up, or something.


We thought it was an IS thing because it happen to a few others, then I figured it out after I posted them.

my bad.
