Hello,
Currently MTGO is not in the list of supported games out of the box. As such I have attempted to add the game the normal way (through the Add Game option of course). Alas I have run into a few issues.
First a bit of background on the game for any that aren't familiar with it. It's the online version of the trading card game Magic the Gathering. The current version of the client is the 2.0 version. This is a pretty low-tech game for the most part and I believe that it uses DirectX 3 (or around there) on the version 2 client. As such with Version 2 I am able to start up the game with Innerspace; however, I am unable to get the console for the session to appear. After launching version 2 with InnerSpace I can see the session in the uplink though (from the sessions command).
Now there is a new version of the client in Beta that will most likely be out before too long. Anybody is able to give the beta test a free ride which I hope might help in getting to the root of my problems. If you're interested in downloading the beta you can go here: http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/magic/
That said I attempted to add MTGO 3 to Innerspace as well. Adding the game to Innerspace. Now there's a tiny bit of a problem here. Both the version 2 and version 3 software have a "launcher" if you will.
The version 2 software will rename the main executable for the game every so often. In the version 3 software currently it appears that this is not present; however, when I attempt to add the launcher to Innerspace the actual session is not loaded into the game. That is to say when I add the launcher to innerspace, and start the game, the session is not visible from the Uplink Console.
If I add the actual executable to the game, i receive the following error:
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Clock on OK to terminate the application.
Launching version 3 from the actual MTGO_NET.exe file (not the kicker.exe file) seems to work just fine. Only when trying with Innerspace does it give an issue.
Thanks for any help!
