Goofy ass xp64 and LavishUI bug

Post by pygar » Tue Mar 20, 2007 12:37 pm

I'm at my witts end on this one...

I've got 6 machines, all mostly similar. However only one of them is running xp64.

I've got an innerspace tree that runs fine on the other 5 boxes, but on the xp64 box I'm getting a very specific and freakish error. Check boxes on conditionally loaded UI tabs are not clickable, only in xp64....

I know, you're thinking PEBKAC.

I have re-installed everything same issue. I've verified I'm using the exact same scripts on all the machines. I've dug around for some syntax bug that might only display in xp64. I've checked display and mouse drivers.

Specifically this is with Everquest2 using eq2bot. Eq2bot has a tab UI that has 2 default tabs. Then the class support files load additional tabs conditionally. For example, when playing defiler, the defiler.iss support file loads a class configuration tab, an 'extras tab', and if Participate in HOs is checked on the extras tab it loads an HO tab.

On these 3 additional tabs, I can change any UI element I like EXCEPT checkboxes. Clicking on a checkbox does not change the display state of that checkbox. However clicking checkboxes on the first 2 tabs (not conditionally loaded) work fine. Select lists work, multi-selects work, just not checkbox.

I'm suspecting its not layering properly on this system and its not applying my click to the active tab, or something crazy like this.

If anyone has any thoughts, ideas, configuration settings, or anything in general on how to try to diagnose and address this fluke, I greatly appreciate the input.
