a few questions...

Post by Rellik » Wed Oct 18, 2006 11:23 pm

I am trying to add some of the functions of WinEQ I liked to IS without much success. (yes, i searched and read the posts about wineq and innerspace but I couldn't find an answer to these problems)

Here is what I am having trouble with. It's mostly nitpicky stuff and if it's going to be a hard fix I can live without, but I figured I'd ask :)

1) The title bar. Can't click and drag it like winEQ, and the minimize and close buttons are not working for me. I don't know if this is something on my end but it happens on both computers. I looked at the DefaultSkin.xml but wasn't sure if this was the right thing for a session or not and I couldn't figure out how to make them work anyway. I've experimented with most of IS's settings (Lock Foreground, Force Windowed, etc) but still had no luck. I'm probably missing something simple. (Note: I can right click on the title bar and select "Move" to move it, but none of the other buttons work)

2) The way a session displays over the task bar. This is kind of hard to describe so if you wouldn't mind looking at these screenshots.
The way I'd like it to look
The way it looks
As you can see in the second image it completely covers up the taskbar. I like to keep the taskbar visible for various reasons. (Note: If I drag the window down far enough, the taskbar remains visible, but then I'm playing at like half the size of my screen) Again, probably something simple I'm missing.

I think I have everything else set up pretty well. After playing with winEQ for so long I've just come to get used to these two things. If I need to, I'll live without em, but if it's just something simple I'm missing that would be cool.

Thanks again.

You're not missing anything, it's a bug with IS + EQ that I havent had time to fix yet. The reality is, not many people play EQ with IS (WoW and EQ2, different story), so I've had to work on other things first

As far as taskbar over/under, there's 2 tricks to this. 1, if the window is large enough and placed down far enough, or 2, if the window's frame is set to THIN. Type "windowframe thin" in the IS console in the game, and you'll be set here if you dont want to mess with positioning (this is equivalent to Lock Size in WinEQ, which is default for WinEQ 2 Lite, and this answer is basiclly from: http://www.lavishsoft.com/wineq2/faq.php#1.1 ).
