Everquest disappears from context menu

Post by lucentdepths » Wed Mar 26, 2014 7:12 pm

So it worked.. then after a reboot it no longer appears when right clicking WINEQ2 on the system tray.. EQ2, Warcraft 3 etc is all there, but not EQ.

The only thing I did was make another eq directory.. which shouldn't kill it.. I have tons, and WINEQ2 can point to multiple directories. So.. I'm really not sure what would remove it from the context menu. Everquest still appears in the preferences/options menu and I can still see all my profiles... sooo....

I did make a workaround for now. I made a desktop shortcut to a Everquest 2 profile and edited the the argument to use the WINEQ-EQ.dll instead of the EQ2.dll and changed the profile name and that worked.

I'm still really puzzled as to why it did this though.

Hrm.. not sure if it matters but I did notice the sysinfo shows 4 CPU entries, though I'm running a 6 core proc.

Go into the WinEQ 2 Preferences under EverQuest, General and find the "Hide Context Menu" option at the top. Set it to Off, click OK, and restart WinEQ 2
