crashing everytime i try to start playing

anyone else having problems logging into the game world with everquest? i'm not sure where the poblem even is as all i get is a message that my client may have crashed. so i don't know if it's a everquest bug, a eqplaynice, or wineq2. far as i know everything is patched and up to date, can anyone please help me figure this out?

Its happening to others too, there is a thread in the WinEQ 2 pro section of the forums, we are waiting for an answer/update.
