Why does the arrow key input lag greatly?unplayable
I tried eqw wineq2 ectect and its always the same problem. My direction input lags behind making my characters movements utter pain and boxing impossible.Any ideas? Its like its moving on its own, super annoying.Help please
Post your sysinfo.txt for me and I'll see if there's anything obvious. You can get it by right clicking on the game window's title bar (launched with WinEQ 2) and selecting Get System Info from the menu. Do this while you're logged in and having the problem for best results, and paste the information in a post here
Well this doesnt have anything to do with WinEq pretty much because its the same for Everquest without any plugins and its the same if i am using EqW.The problem is just the people at the official boards are clueless and eqw got a bad support.Only good chance at finding people who might have had similar troubles is here.
Its simple, as soon i am playing more then one everquest on my highend machine (1gig ram, 3 gig athlon xp ectect no ati ect) and i move around the account starts to move around on its own.Thats what happens on the first glance but if you pay attention closely the input you do on your keyboard on the arrow up left right down keys just lags sometimes. Makes my char go gaga and makes it totally unplayable. I tried to restart everquest several times in the past years but Sony has managed to totally prevent any attemptd with their utter lack of support. I am frustrated and need some help.Anyways heres the requested info.

Just a couple thoughts here, 1gb of ram is the absolute bare minimum for two sessions of eq. I would not be surprised if the behavior you are seeing is because the second session of eq pushes you well over your 1gb of ram, which means you start swapping out to the hard drive, which means eq starts to slow to a crawl any time you do anything. You can try to fix this by disabling any / all extra options (models / sky / spell effects / etc).
Second, have you tried with your antivirus software disabled?
Third, if you are getting a lot of hard drive activity you can try to set your dbg.txt in the eq directory to read only. Some on the sony boards have said that has helped a little bit.

Your sysinfo appears to be with 1 session, I wanted one from when you're having the problemIts simple, as soon i am playing more then one everquest on my highend machine (1gig ram, 3 gig athlon xp ectect no ati ect) and i move around the account starts to move around on its own.

15 is a REALLY low setting for EQ to be using for maximum framerate. You should slide EQ's Max FPS setting up to 100 and let EQPlayNice handle it. This could account for some of the lag (may or may not, but it is recommended to raise it)MaxFPS: 15
Past that, what fearless said is pretty true. If you can post a sysinfo.txt with 2 sessions running and having the lag problem that would help. I dont think you're running out of memory like he says, just because your settings are fairly low and you have over half of your RAM remaining, but it might clear things up to see the whole story
as i said, my arrow key input is lagging.Even if i had 2 frames per second i dont care. With the arrow key input lag or whatever it is the game is unplayable.Yes i know that low framerates make the game choppy, i say it again.I have a problem with the keyboard input or something similar. The game goes gaga and i cant control a thing since the game behaves just like i would leave my fingers on the keys. That "feels" like the keyboard input is lagging behind.
I understand that, I'm just trying to get to the bottom of the problem. If you cant or wont try any of the suggestions to see if they make a difference, then I'm not sure what you want us to do
Nobody looks at our forums unless they are having a problem at the time, so I wouldnt expect anyone to respond to your post who has had the same problem as you in the past
