Wineq2 - Everquest - mouse issues (specific)

Post by Elladon » Mon Nov 07, 2005 8:30 am

Just a quick note.

I recently returned to EQ and installed wineq2. I played it for a few days perfectly until the last patch, which created before.

The mouse is accurate if the window has not been reset, but after the window has been reset (via the context menu, and it moves the window up a bit to the top, getting rid of the blue bar which i hate) the mouse is wonky. It behaves as if the window has not been reset, hence vertical targetting is off.

Its pretty damned annoying as I didnt have this before the last patch.

Hitting alt + enter appears to correct it, but it shouldn't really be happening to begin with.

I put up a patch just now that should hopefully solve the issues that remained for WinEQ 2 Lite users

It did, thanks Lax!

I posted yesterday that if I didn't hit the Reset Window command the mouse pointer would stay on target. That wasn't exactly true -- it was still slightly off. Now it's exactly where it is when I run EQ standalone. Also there was some flakiness in right-clicking System Tray objects while WinEQ Lite was running. That's gone now as well.

Nice work, and such work deserves what little reward I can offer -- my subscription is inc! :D
