Wineq 2 EverQuest Mouse Issue.

Post by wrait » Sat Nov 05, 2005 11:56 am

Before the Lavish Patch on 11/4/05 I had No problems with my Mouse.

I run windows 2000, nvidia Gforce 128 vid card.

The Problem I encount now is mouse positioning in contrast to mouse actual position.

when Im at the EULA screen for EQ 1. you have the option to accept or decline. when I place the cursor on the accept button nothing happends it doesn't even highlight. when I move the mouse cursor aprox. 2 inches below the accept button and slightly right the button highlights and I have click control on buttun.

Once loaded into game the effect is the same the visual currsor seems to be 2 inches below and slighty right of the actual mouse over position.

I hope this explains well enough the problem I am having. should you need to know anything else, please post and I will respond.

Well, I can only assume by the term "the" patch that you did not get the second 11/4/05 patch, which solved the problem for everyone else to my knowledge. Restart WinEQ 2, let it patch up, and see if that helps

Sorry the "Patches" on 11/4/05. before the patches I had no problems at all. Now I do. it's so bad I am unable to use the software at this time.

I am also having the same problem, tho it appears to be random, sometimes the mouse is a few mm's away, other times it's a few cm's. I ran patcher again 5 mins ago incase i missed one, to no avail.

I also have the issue of if i am turning on one char and flick to another, the first char will stand there and spin, or if char was running, will run around in circles. also can press a button like alt until fully into next chars screen, annoying for cating quick heals or snares etc.

Ok after reading this post http://www.lavishsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2297 I took Larlagar fix from his last post and tried it. Hitting Alt + Enter did fix my mouse issue, but I have to do it everytime I try to log in.
