WinEQ v2.12 Lite - EQ1 Crashes when pressing and holding ALT
This occurs for me on 3 different systems. It happens when I have multiple accounts logged in, and it happens with just 1 instance of EQ. When using alt + tab to switch windows it occurs intermittently. But if you use ALT within the window for an EQ command, such as ALT + O for options, or ALT over say your memmed spells to get a list of what's memmed, it locks everytime. This only occurred after the update to the latest version of WinEQ. Here's my SysInfo.txt:

Please help. I just came back to the game and built a new system to play multiple EQ's. I'm paying like $90/month for all my accounts and now it's useless since the new pc I built was built with the intent of playing 4+ accounts at a time. If I need to donate to get this fixed I will (I have donated before as well). Thanks.

All I can really say is there's no posts about this on the subscriber forums, but there's a few on the non-subscriber forums.
I'm doing what I can to fix the problem, but since it hasnt happened to me in testing and there doesnt appear to be a really good way people have given to reproduce it (that works on my system), I'm really just shooting in the dark
Have you scanned for spyware to ensure that's not part of the problem?

Ok I just bought a subscription, and it happened again! It seems the best way to lock it up would be to hold the ALT button over the buff window. This is not a spyware problem, as the system it just happened on is a fresh install of windows as of this morning. Also it occurs on my other 2 systems, and the ONLY thing that I can think of that's similar between the 3 systems is my custom ui. Could bad xml files cause this?
Actually someone in IRC just brought this up.
Try unloading the custom UI and see how that affects things. If it's something with the UI, then this isnt WinEQ-related after all
Code: Select all
[20:56] <Valthonis> I did some checking into the alt crashing thing thats be happening and Part of it is from Custom UIs<the buff window portion>
[20:56] <Lax> lol ok, so these people have a bad MQ2 ui?
[20:57] <Lax> or is it a bug with real UIs?
[20:57] <Valthonis> All custom UIs
For reference, this is the only thread on the official EQ forums I could find on the topic: http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/boa ... .id=109032
It's just a few users reporting an issue, and no indication as to whether they were using WinEQ or not, and of course no response from SOE. Either way, the odds that they're using WinEQ are pretty slim and I dont have users with similar names.
Report back if you figure it out, and I will refund your subscription if you want since it wasnt relevant to the problem you were having.
