Having mouse trouble since latest patch

Post by phentop » Mon Aug 29, 2005 12:50 am

WinEQ 2.10 lite [non subscriber] and EQ 1

I've been plling up game and reseting res to lowest while in game (only way I know how to do it) 640 x ??? .. anyway... before patch I could hit my windows desktop button on the keyboard and the mouse would go to the desktop. I could then minimize that session and open another session or switch to an allready opened session. BUT now when I hit the windows desktop button on my keyboard and click on the minimize button I end up with 2 mouse pointers ---One on the desktop and One in the game--- As I move the pointer they move the same but the only one that works is the one that is back in the game -So now I cannot open another session since the mouse on the desktop only moves but connot click anything..

Any ides?............Didnt start untill I started game Sunday morning and it did a small patch.... Worked all night Sat night ...I hadnt changed anything .... Just shutdown and restart..

Ive tried restarting, new video drivers, cleaning harddrives, uninstalling WinEQ and re-installing fresh...

You need to open sysinfo.txt, select all the text in the file, copy the text, paste it into your post here.

Copy / Pasting the file itself will not work.

That's what you get for using a Windows exploit! ;)

Seriously though, I had a hard time understanding what was going on when I first read this but I'll be fixing this behavior tonight. In the meantime, you can do it the way that is technically correct by releasing the mouse with Scroll Lock (you can change this key in the WinEQ 2 preferences)

It should now work *better* than it did before.

I try. Please continue posting about any problems you experience. Most people just gripe about their problems elsewhere so I dont hear about it, and then it doesnt get fixed :)
