EQ1 Crash to desktop.

Post by Jhaiisiin » Wed Sep 14, 2005 11:57 am

Since this morning's patch, EQ1 won't even load up. Just crashes to desktop with eqgame.exe throwing up the standard fault error screen.

I am having the exact same problem since the patch this morning, eq crashes to desktop as soon as you load it.

I've taken down the EQPlayNice support for today's patch while I solve this problem. You can play with WinEQ still, just click "OK" when the box pops up that says "EQPlayNice wont work, but you can keep playing"

Thanks Lax. EQ actually kept running, even though the error dialog popped up. Just dragged the dialog out of the way and continued on. :)

With todays patch, its crashing again, and this time, you can't just move the error dialog out of the way hehe

There is supposedly a bug with EQ, not with Lavish. Lot of people are reporting it, not just Lavish users.

From the look of it the first dx9 dll they put up on the patch server was bad. If you repatch and get the new one you should be fine. Servers are up, EQ and WinEQ seem to be working fine now.

Aye, new file supposedly pushed and crashes should be taken care of.
