Been using WinEQ2 for a long time with EQ2 without issues, thanks for the great app

But since GU57 that went live on Aug 18th, EQ2 now crashes to desktop for me with the following error:
Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.
<verify> E:\live\eq2\framework\core\devices\src\DirectX9RenderDevice.cpp (15954): DirectX Error. (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)

This occurs just after you log into an actual character. You can see your character and game world drawn, along with the majority of the main UI pieces, and then the above crash abruptly occurs. The game works perfectly fine when launched outside of WinEQ2.
Since EQ2+WinEQ2 doesn't crash yet at the character select screen, I've tried a myriad of graphics settings from turning everything off to trying all the preset performance profiles - they all result in the same crash upon loading a character. Also tried default UI and outright forcing an outdated UI so UI wouldn't load, same crash with WinEQ2. Updated DirectX 9.0c as well, no luck.
Anyone else seeing the same crash?
