WinEQ2 and Windows 7 beta

Hi all

Wasn't really expecting it to, but as far as I can tell WinEQ2 doesn't work in Windows 7 beta build 7000 x64. It runs but comes up with a message about not being able to download the patcher and then the Options/Preferences menu doesn't have any games to choose from.

Sorry, not a complaint, just posting about it in case you don't have the beta yet.

It's the same issue as people with Vista. Right click the WinEQ 2 icon and select "Run as Administrator", after which it will patch to the full version and then you're good to go. Enjoy

Doh my fault, I always turn off the %&$&? UAC on Vista so I had never come across this problem. I've only just installed 7 beta and not got round to turning it off yet as it isn't as intrusive now.

Well, it does run for me but it only disables the patcher really. Global hotkeys don't work and it doesn't change the title name.
