Last EQ patch november 16th 05

makes us crash right before character selection screen...

Can confirm this problem to.. When Wineq is disabled and EQ run as normal, program will work..

try using the patcher and loading up Everquest the sony way... it's client crashing just before character select as well. I think this may sony's problem.

nevermind, had wineq2 running still (just on the taskbar) and it caused it to crash still, I closed that, then tried patcher again and it worked. so, i guess you can't even have it running in the background when you load eq, even if you're not using it.

Nope if u turn Wineq off and run Sony's patcher u can log in.

tried 3 different comps here, with or without winEQ both ways... and same result everywhere... with WinEQ = KO , without it, EQ runs

Just downloaded and installed latest available copy of WinEQ2 lite and have the same problem.

Generic EverQuest client crash message...

Help?

It's actually EQPlayNice. I've disabled EQPlayNice for today's patch until I resolve the problem.
