EverQuest migrating to 64-bit

Post by soulbanshee » Wed Nov 03, 2021 3:41 pm

EverQuest will be migrating to a 64-bit only client soon on Beta and early next year for live. I would be interested in a 64-bit compiled WinEQ2 and support for launching the new 64-bit client. If the exe name doesn't change once it goes live, they started pushing eqgame.x64.exe in the beta patcher though it currently is not available/does not run as of today.

I agree 100%

I use WinEQ2 mainly for custom ini files and ability to use emulated full screen. Now that Beta is on the 64-bit client, it no longer binds to the executable and doesn't work. Not sure when64-bit will go live, but I am definitely interested in having this remain available so that I can play the way I am accustomed to.

What are the chances of WINEQ2 being updated to account for the 64-bit client?

64 bit live and I cannot log in with wineq2. Is there an update/fix or should I request a refund? I've used this program a long time and just resubbed last month for 2 years but if it doesn't allow me to play in full screen and one key flip to next eq application, then I do not need it.

Bump.

I also renewed for an additional 2 years a few weeks ago. Hate to think I lose out on functionality I have become accustomed to with this app. Not as interested in learning how to make IS Boxer do the few things I use this for (Emulated Full Screen mode, Separate ini files, PIP) Any news on if you plan to update for the 64bit client?

My apologies, we haven't really been actively patrolling this forum these days. Please come join the discussion on the Lavish Software Discord or the ISBoxer Discord!

WinEQ 2 is being replaced by WinEQ 2022, which is currently available for testing. See https://github.com/LavishSoftware/JMB-WinEQ-2022 for details :)
