Hi there friends:
Im using a brand new laptop for EQ1 with EQPlayNice/WinEQ.
The specs on the PC are pretty decent:
Intel® Core i7-7700HQ (2.8 GHz, 6 MB)
RAM 16GB DDR4 SODIMM 2133Mhz (2x8GB)
1TB (7200 rpm S-ATA) + 256GB (256GB *1 M.2 SATA)
17.3" LED FullHD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 AntiGlare 120Hz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5
But once I get in Game, my FPS is normaly around 60-70 and down to 10-15 if get a good amount of mobs around.
Is this normal or there is something weird?
Shouldnt this laptop give a nice performance?
Please help me guys. Thanks a lot in advance.

I have doing some test, so Ill share you the info in case that can help in something for the conclusion of how to upgrade this.
So now, I have tried to Launch the game from the EQ shortcut instead of Use the shortcut to WinEQ profile.
I loaded the same place as on previous test and the FPS seems to have moved from tjat 10-15 to a more decent a fluid 50-55.
But doing it this way, the game is "worse" as while dont know why I keep seeing the WinEQ FPS counter, I dont seem to have the same performance as If I had WinEQ/Playnice open, because for example the game starts all the time in a nonFullScreen way, it also becomes so Slow to Alt/Tab in/out of it, etc.
Please, give me some help. Ill be making tests the next hours, as If my EQ doesnt or cant work better than this I will try to find a Laptop replace or something.
Again, thanks a lot for the help in advance.

Hi, I had similar issue as you when I upgraded my PC.
I found that the setting-
Options-preference-wineq 2.0-general-CPU affinity
If this is on my framerate blows, if I switch it off I dont go under 60fps, even with 4 instances loaded.
Hope this helps.

I will make some tests on your tip, thanks.
This is really weird, because if I open the game from normal EQ shortcut (without EQ Play Nice) I get aroun 110-120fps.
If I /q and reload same place starting from eqplaynice shortcut, I get down to 70fps on that same place. And normally the things go drastically lower if more npcs/pcs appeart on screen.
Any other people can give a hand on this problem please?
Thanks a lot.
