Can't launch EQ

Post by stevepr » Fri May 22, 2009 10:35 pm

I can't run EQ as I'm getting an error about can't initialise WOW or EQII support.

I don't care about WOW or EqII support I want to run EQ.

It isn't due to the patch as I ran EQ OK last night.

What this particular error (-16) indicates is that you're getting disconnected while WinEQ 2 is trying to communicate with our server for its startup routines. This can be due to poor wireless connectivity, bandwidth saturation (e.g. having lots of downloads/uploads going), packet loss due to ISPs between your PC and our servers, and so on. Usually it will simply go away in a little while.
