WoW/Wineq/Windows 7

Post by coolcyborg1000 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 8:09 am

Having some issuess with globel hotkey being assigned to WoW when i load it through Wineq. Everquest works fine for the globel hotkeys but not WoW. Note sure if this is because im using windows 7 64 bit. I have all the latest drivers for the computer and keyboard.

I will look into that, thank you for the report. It may be a few days before I get a good chance to check it out, so for the meantime you can use the next/previous session hotkeys (ctrl+alt+z and ctrl+alt+x) or alt+tab, etc.

One thing that comes to mind, you may need to run WinEQ 2 as administrator for the global keys to function (right click the icon on the desktop and select Run as Administrator)

I have tried that and that didnt work at all. It looks like that WoW isnt getting linked properly with wineq as none of hotkeys work and the icon doesnt change to wineq like everquest does. I know that i have wineqm running when i start the wow because if i click on the shortcut that wineq makes it start wineq first then WoW. I have tried installing WoW first then wineq and vice versa.

Seeing as how you're a subscriber, might I recommend trying Inner Space for World of Warcraft instead. The tools available for multi-boxing with Inner Space are far superior to WinEQ 2, and you won't get banned for using it in World of Warcraft (I have been using it myself for months). Check out the [[IS:ISBoxer|ISBoxer Toolkit]]. You should run both Inner Space and the ISBoxer Toolkit as Administrator.

And yes, it definitely works with Windows 7.
